Improv and Comedy Festival

First Ever!
La Crosse Community Theatre will host the first ever Coulee Region Improv and Sketch Comedy Festival January 23-24, 2015. The festival will include a day of workshops and two nights of performances by local favorites The Webernauts, Live from La Crosse, and La Crosse Unscripted and regional improv groups including Glassworks Improv, White Out, and Mayhem.
Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts emceed by WXOW morning show anchor Dustin Luecke. Tickets for each evening are $15.
The Improv and Sketch Comedy Festival also will present workshops on Saturday. Classes include Practical Physical Comedy and Comic Movement with Kenny Ahern, who has steadily built his reputation as a world-class family entertainer; Improv Fundamentals with Chuck Charbeneau, who has been performing, directing, coaching and teaching improv for over twenty years; and Sketch and Script Writing with Jim Nemeth, who is a graduate of the Improv Olympic and the Second City Conservatory program in Chicago.
